This show is on at Terrace Nq in the Community Room - Upstairs 43 Thomas St, Manchester M4 1NA
Award-winning comedian Sooz Kempner (Doom in Doctor Who’s Doom’s Day, Amazon Prime’s Dinner With the Parents) takes a millennial look at ever-changing beauty standards, online trolls and growing up weird. In a society dripping with treatments, injectables and filters is it possible for anyone to feel truly beautiful? ‘Kempner has funny bones’ **** (Scotsman) 'Sardonic but breezy...infectious personality' **** (Morning Star) ‘One of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced at an Edinburgh show’ **** (Broadway World) ‘Brilliant’ (LA Times)

Sooz Kempner
Sooz Kempner did her very first stand-up gig in 2009 and in April 2010 entered the Musical Comedy Awards where she was named Best Newcomer. 2010 also marked her graduation from the Royal Academy of Music. In 2016 Sooz decided to be certifiably insane and take not one but two new solo shows to the fringe - Queen and A Bit Of A Character. 2017 sees her fifth solo show, Sooz On Film, going to the fringe and it's her most ambitious hour yet! 'Quirky style and knockout voice' (Chortle) 'Stand out performances from...Best Newcomer Sooz Kempner with her fantastically topical celebrity songs' (Three Weeks) '... a lot of fun... charmingly self-deprecating...' (Diva Magazine) 'A voice like an angel – could Sooz be the female answer to Tim Minchin?' (Funny Women).
