10cc

Formed in 1970, 10cc were an all-star line up comprised of Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme, who were all successful, well-known musicians in their own rights before forming the band. 10cc were one of the most popular and well known bands of the '70s with their biggest hit I'm Not in Love reaching number one in the UK. The current line-up features co-founder Graham Gouldman (bass, guitar, vocals), Rick Fenn (lead guitar, bass, vocals), Paul Burgess (drums, percussion) – both of whom have been with the band since the mid-’70s – joined by Keith Hayman (keyboards, guitars, bass, vocals) and Iain Hornal (vocals, guitar). Testament to 10cc’s ongoing appeal, the band can count a generation straddling array of fellow artists, everyone from Chrissie Hynde to The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie and Axl Rose to Sophie Ellis Bextor, among their many millions of fans.

Ocean Colour Scene

90's indie rock-pop band whose Sixties retro sound, coupled with their obvious individual talents and collective knack of reaching the heart and soul of the nation's music buying public, has certainly paid off. Their back catalogue includes an impressive seventeen Top 40 singles including 'The Riverboat Song' which became the walk-on music for Chris Evans on the popular Channel 4 series TFI Friday.

Embrace

West Yorkshire's Embrace are one of the most recognisable bands that came from the upturn of popularity of indie-rock at the turn of the millennium. From stadium classics like the top ten hits 'All You Good Good People' and 'Come Back To What You Know' to their three number one albums, sold out arena shows and over two million album sales.

Midge Ure

From Slik and The Rich Kids to Ultravox and Band Aid, Midge has produced consistently innovative and excellent pop music. Fronting Ultravox, Midge had nine top 10 albums and sold in excess of 20 millions records in the UK alone before moving on to an equally successful solo career. His most successful song though remains the multi-million selling Do They Know It's Christmas, which he co-wrote with Bob Geldof.

New Model Army

Formed in Bradford in 1980, New Model Army’s beginnings were inspired by Northern Soul, Punk Rock and the incendiary atmosphere of the times. Since then, they have had a long, creative and eventful journey. They have been massively influential in ‘post-punk’, ‘folk-rock’, ‘political-rock’, ‘goth’, ‘metal’ and all kinds of musical sub-cultures but they have steadfastly refused to belong to any club or style. Without a specific ‘genre’ audience, and never having had a massive worldwide hit single, New Model Army still have album sales in the millions, have attracted some of the biggest producers on the planet (Glyn Johns, Tom Dowd, Andy Wallace, Bob Clearmountain, Joe Barresi) and have built up an almost religious devotion amongst fans. They have been perfectly placed to withstand the changes in the Industry and have outlasted most of their peers - while maintaining a worldwide following and all without making a single artistic or commercial compromise. Recent years have also seen a revival in the band’s critical and commercial fortunes. The “Between Dog and Wolf” and “Between Wine and Blood” (2013/14) and “Winter” (2016) albums have all returned the band to the mainstream charts and they are currently working on a new project expected late summer 2019. Originally formed as a three piece, the current five piece features Justin Sullivan on main vocal and guitar, Michael Dean on drums, Dean White on keyboards and guitar, Marshall Gill on guitar and Ceri Monger on bass.

The Sugarhill Gang

Pioneering rap band whose 'Rappers Delight' was the first ever rap song to hit the top 40 charts. Two of the original members of this historic group, Wonder Mike (Michael Wright) and Master Gee (Guy O'Brien) had teamed up with Henry Jackson (aka Big Bank Hank) to become the now famous Sugarhill Gang. This is where rap music began...respect!
