Dark and far-reaching, reverential to 90s shoegaze yet constantly looking forward: The 1975's bombastic sound has gained them a haul of fans across the globe, and they continue to captivate audiences with their wintery, glitchy, melodic form of alternative rock. The boys picked up the best 'British Group' and best 'British Album' awards at the 2019 Brits.

Acclaimed as one of the most important composers and performers of all time, Neil Young could almost be two artists in one body. His work ranges from the beautiful and moving folk sounds he has produced as a solo artist and with Crosby, Stills and Nash to the powerful and energetic rock which has often been the result of his collaboration with Crazy Horse and which earned him the nickname 'the Godfather of Grunge'.

Olivia Rodrigo became a worldwide sensation in 2021 with the success of her debut single, 'Drivers License'. After shattering records with her chart-topping, 4x Platinum debut album SOUR (the fastest album in history to have all of its songs certified RIAA Platinum or higher) she made a monumental return in 2023 with her new album GUTS, revealing newly heightened sophistication as a vocalist and lyricist. Each song intensifies the emotional honesty that’s always imbued her storytelling. Rodrigo expands her expressive palette, uncovering entirely new dimensions of her artistry, as exemplified by lead single 'vampire'.

Dubbed by The Guardian as 'the sentimental face of Grime', South Londoner Loyle Carner is an actor turned rapper. With a drama degree behind him, it seems rap has become his real destiny. His sound has a laid-back flow and beats which combine with old school hip-hop and UK influences. Following a tour and collaboration with spoken word artist Kate Tempest on her single 'Guts', Loyle went on to support Nas at the O2 Arena, then released his highly acclaimed debut album 'Yesterday's Gone' in 2017, which was nominated for the prestigeous Mercury Music Prize award. Success went higher with 2019's follow-up, 'Not Waving, But Drowning', which reached no.3 on the UK album chart.

Known for their anthemic alt-rock, Scotland's Biffy Clyro are a dynamic power trio marked by the throaty lead-vocal brogue of singer/guitarist Simon Neil. Emerging in the early 2000s, Biffy Clyro drew loyal fans with their grunge, hardcore, and prog-rock-influenced sound that found them combining hooky choruses with unusual song forms and galloping rhythmic meters.
