Bristol, wishing you a big, big love... Gigantic All Dayer is coming back

From its roots in Manchester to a brand-new chapter in Bristol, Gigantic brings 12 hours of top-tier indie and dance music, an outdoor real ale & cider festival, the best street food from across the region, an indie blowout like no other, all set at Bristol's newest and first 3,000-capacity live music venue: The Prospect Building.

Peter Hook

Best known as the bassist from Joy Division and New Order. Peter decided to honour the outstanding work of his first band and the undoubted genius of the late Ian Curtis by giving people the opportunity to hear past Joy Division albums performed live and in their entirety. Backed by his band The Light, Hooky first played 'Unknown Pleasures' at the Factory club in Manchester in 2010, and has continued to tour the back catalogue ever since.

The Wonder Stuff

This West Midlands-based band gained a significant following in the late 1980s with two critically acclaimed albums, 'The Eight Legged Groove Machine' and 'Hup'. Mainstream chart success followed with their third album in 1991, which included the hits 'The Size of a Cow', and 'Dizzy' performed with Vic Reeves. The band split in 1994, but after a seven year sabbatical, they reformed and continue to play their old numbers, along with new material.

Jim Bob

As singer with Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine Jim Bob had 14 top 40 singles, 4 top ten albums (including a number one), sold over a million records, toured the world and headlined Glastonbury. In 2007, ten years after initially splitting, Carter USM reformed for a series of huge sold out shows until they called it a day again in 2014. Outside of Carter Jim Bob has had a long and varied solo music career. He has released ten solo albums and written songs for Ian Dury and for the 2006 Barbican production of Mark Ravenhill’s ’Dick Whittington & His Cat’. In August 2010 Jim Bob made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in the Ward and White musical ‘Gutted’.
