Fairport Convention
Fairport Convention are often credited with being the first English electric folk band. Formed in April 1967, with Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings and Shaun Frater, Fairport rapidly developed from playing cover versions of American 'west coast' style music to an individual style which melded rock music with traditional English tunes and songs. Bedevilled by numerous personnel changes they temporarily disbanded in 1979 but reformed in 1985. Since then, they have enjoyed stability and continue to tour and record regularly. Fairport Convention hold a coveted BBC Lifetime Achievement Award and their groundbreaking album Liege & Lief was voted 'Most Influential Folk Album Of All Time' by Radio 2 listeners.

Hayseed Dixie
An American group who started out as an Appalachian style tribute to AC/DC, playing traditional instruments such as fiddle, mandolin and banjo. Following the release of 2001's 'A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC' they branched out, playing songs by other rock luminaries, as well as a few original compositions.

Turin Brakes
The group that've made folk rock fashionable again, Turin Brakes lace their melodic acoustic musings with a healthy dose of indie to make the perfect hummable songs for those lazy summer afternoons. Mind blowing vocals and awesome guitar from this very talented band. Founded by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, the band as of 2025 is made up of Knights, Paridjanian, and long-term collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer. They released their Mercury-nominated debut The Optimist LP in March 2001 and followed it up in 2003 with their most commercially successful album - Ether Song.
