Another unmissable, special fundraising music night in aid of the conservation of St Nicholas Church. We are proud to welcome singer songwriter and frontman to The Daintees, Martin Stephenson for an intimate night of heartwarming songs and stories.
The Daintees are celebrating 40 years since the release of their iconic and well loved debut album 'Boat To Bolivia'. Martin has continued to record and tour ever since, amassing a huge back catalogue which crosses boundaries with rock, country, folk, blues, reggae and punk.
Always full of surprises, this will be a really memorable show to hear his finely crafted songs and guitar playing in such an atmospheric setting.
Ticket numbers are very limited for this so we advise booking well in advance if you would like to come along to this unique evening.
Martin Stephenson
Martin is an outstanding singer and songwriter, whose career in music now stretches back over thirty years of critical acclaim and relentless touring. The Daintees became one of the first bands to sign to the Newcastle based label Kitchenware, releasing a string of albums until disbanding in 1992. Retreating to the Scottish Highlands, several solo albums followed and in 2008, the Daintees reconvened to record Western Eagle, which was followed in 2012 with the release of California Star.
