St Mary's Music School
St Mary’s Music School, a specialist music school based in Edinburgh, offers a world class standard of music and academic education for talented young musicians aged 9 – 19. St Mary’s Music School aims to provide outstanding young instrumentalists, singers and choristers the opportunity to flourish and excel, musically and academically, in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment. Conveniently located near Edinburgh's Haymarket Station, St Mary’s Music School welcomes musically gifted children from Scotland, the UK and further afield. Notable alumni include renowned concert pianist Steven Osborne, Opera North's Music Director, Garry Walker, composers Helen Grime and David Horne, and actor, presenter and singer Alexander Armstrong, who was a chorister pupil at the School. Dedicated to advancing music education, St Mary's Music School is committed to building meaningful connections within existing music organisations, while nurturing the next generation of musical talent. Public events and masterclasses are open to young musicians from across Scotland, whilst term-time Saturday Music Classes offer early learning to younger children in the local community. It’s a fundamental principle of St Mary’s music school that our world-calls music education should be offered to gifted children regardless of financials considerations.
