Florence + The Machine

Florence + The Machine appearing at this event

One-woman pop-indie-blues-rock singer Florence Welch, also known as Florence + The Machine, is a modern-day Kate Bush with the grit of PJ Harvey. Across five albums - 2009’s Lungs, 2011’s Ceremonials, 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, 2018’s High As Hope and 2022’s Dance Fever - Florence has become one of the most monumental artists of a generation, with multiple US and UK #1 albums and countless awards. Known for her earth-shattering live show and singular, iconic voice, Florence has sold out shows and headlined festivals the entire world over. She has collaborated and shared stages with icons - The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift among them - and published a book of lyrics, poetry and drawings, Useless Magic.

Self Esteem

Self Esteem appearing at this event

As Self Esteem, Rebecca Taylor has shaken off the shackles of her indie band past to become the unapologetic pop star she always wanted to be. With her statement debut Compliments Please – championed by The Guardian, DrownedInSound and most of millennial Twitter – she gave voice to the feelings of insecurity and misogyny-induced frustration that many of us face every day, emboldening a whole new audience with powerful, truth-telling lyricism that speaks to her love of rhythmic noughties pop and RnB. Her follow-up Prioritise Pleasure is set to do the same, shedding light on important issues around female autonomy, comparison culture and more, but always with an inimitable knack for relatable self-deprecation and snappy dressing, using her time on stage to create an immersive space of both catharsis and celebration. As Self Esteem, Taylor proves that we can all grow from what we go through, but that life is far too short not to embrace yourself in your most honest of forms – no apologies necessary.

Jacob Alon

Jacob Alon appearing at this event

Jacob Alon is a singer-songwriter based in Edinburgh. Both intimate and devastatingly introspective, Alon's music is touched by a rare timelessness. Drawing fair comparisons to artists such as Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright, his sound cuts through the air with powerful and haunting vocals, intricate guitar playing, and pensive, poetic lyrics.
