Crowns in Conflict: The Queens Who Never Met

Miriam Cooper’s one-woman show explores the unavoidable collision of dynamic sovereigns and cousins, Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. Although they never met, their lives were inextricably linked. In this play of passion and treachery, the audience witnesses the clash between these two women who shaped the destiny of the thrones of Scotland and England. Both were trapped in their dynastic and political situations, though they handled them in very different ways. Miriam Cooper switches skilfully from one Queen to another to explore their relationship and the situation in which they find themselves in this breath-taking historical drama.
