St Johns Church Organ Recital with Chris Totney

DEVIZES ARTS FESTIVAL 2025

Multi-award-winning teacher, composer and organist Chris Totney returns to Devizes to give this year’s Festival Organ Recital. If all goes to plan, this concert will be one of the very first times we get to experience the new pipe organ that has taken the best part of a year to install in St Johns Church!

Chris previously spent 15 years in Wiltshire, as a teacher as well as the choirmaster of St John’s in its weekly round of Sunday services. Now based in Cambridge, Chris recently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. He combines an Alumni Relations role at Emmanuel College with the position of Organist and Director of Music at St Benet Fink Church, Tottenham, alongside a schedule of teaching and recital work.

The programme of music is being specially arranged to showcase the capabilities of the new organ, and this author, for one, cannot wait!
