Radio Banska is a Bath-based instrumental quintet delivering a jazz-infused blend of Levantine mystery, Balkan passion and Latin rhythms – all expressed in exciting original compositions with a world music flavour! Formed in 2010, they released ‘The Balkan Courtesan’ album in 2012 and their genre-defying appeal has seen them performing in diverse jazz clubs, arts centres and festivals across the south of England ever since.

This Bath-based instrumental quintet deliver a kaleidoscopic cornucopia of musical influences from around the globe. From Buenos Aires to the Balkans and Marrakesh to Montmartre, these world music veterans fuse ethnic references and jazz to create genre-defying compositions delivered with passion and style. They mix Latin, east European, Middle Eastern and jazz styles to stunning effect, with Nina Trott on violin, Dave Spencer electric guitar, Tony Barby acoustic guitar and Peruvian charango, Tosh Wijetunge double bass and drummer Mark Whitlam.
