The Seniors Snooker British Open 2025

World Seniors Snooker are delighted to confirm The Seniors British Open will take place at Vaillant Live, Derby from Friday 26th December to Sunday 28th December 2025.

This new TV event, Live on 5, will see snooker return to Derby for the first time since 1993 with eight players competing for a new Seniors Snooker Title.

Already announced to play are Jimmy White, Ken Doherty, Joe Perry, Dominic Dale, World Champion Alfie Burden and Matthew Stevens, who makes his first seniors’ appearance. With two more stellar names to be announced the interest in snooker’s return to the city this Christmas is sure to be huge.

The event begins on Boxing Day with sessions at 1pm and 7pm, then on Saturday 27th December the semi-finals will begin at 1pm, with the final taking place on Sunday 28th December at the same time.

On Saturday and Sunday snooker fans will get the chance to attend a Legends Lunch before play where they will get to meet two World Champions, Dennis Taylor and John Parrott.
