Back by popular demand, Midday Variety favourites The Dreamers headline our first big variety show of 2026, presented by multi-talented musician Andy Eastwood.

The Dreamers (originally Freddie & The Dreamers) rock ‘n’ roll their way through the 1960s songbook in this uplifting afternoon of music and fun. Liverpudlian frontman Alan Mosca, who worked alongside the legendary Freddie Garrity, leads the band in classics like I’m Telling You Now, You Were Made For Me and If You Wanna Make A Fool Of Somebody, plus chart-toppers from the Beatles and their contemporaries.

Providing the laughs is our special guest Steve Royle, a Britain’s Got Talent finalist whose comedy is as sharp as his incredible juggling skills. He joins us direct from a panto season at Blackpool’s glorious Grand Theatre, where he has been principal comic for over twenty consecutive years.

Versatile singer Helen Farrell will delight you with songs you know and love from some of the greatest female vocalists to grace both the hit parade, and the musical theatre stage.

It’s a feel-good show guaranteed to set the feet tapping, the smiles glowing and the laughter flowing. Book early and bring a party for this unmissable, sparkling afternoon of music and fun.

Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.

The Dreamers

The Dreamers appearing at this event

Freddie & The Dreamers emerged as part of the '60s British Pop Invasion, good-natured and up-beat Manchester clowns scoring a number of hits on both sides of the Atlantic including If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody, I'm Telling You Now and You Were Made For Me'. The band toured until 1968 and broke up not too long after that. Frontman Freddie Garrity reformed an all-new Freddie and the Dreamers in 1976, the band continued to tour until Garrity's retirement in 2000 due to ill-health, when they changed their name to The Dreamers.
