Men Don't Blush

From Barcelona to Colchester, CIA Jose Parra brings Men Don’t Blush, an Anglo-Spanish collaboration co-created with British theatre-maker Jamie Wood, to the Colchester Fringe Festival.This playful one-man show blends clown, comedy, visual theatre, text and audience interaction into an unforgettable experience. Performed in English with playful nods to Spanish culture, the show invites audiences of all genders to laugh, reflect, and discover the freedom to be ourselves.

We meet Ignacio, a Spanish man making gazpacho at home, who, after recovering from testicular cancer, finds himself reflecting on what it means to be a man. A tomato suddenly sparks a surreal journey into another dimension, where Ignacio lives two parallel lives: Tomás Valiente, a swaggering self-help guru, and Tomatito, the childhood clown he once adored.
