Hansel & Gretel

Dance Foundation are back by popular demand with what is going to be not only a showcase of talented dancers but also a fabulous afternoon of entertainment. This year the Dance Foundation Company will be opening their show with their Signature Opening number and they would love to see past performers of ‘Out 2 You’ come along and reunite with each other. For all past students who have been a part of this Opening number, you will know how special it is; just hearing the music brings back so many happy memories of performing at the Princes Theatre and for many of you at His Majesty’s Theatre, London.

The Dance Foundation Company will then be performing ‘Hansel & Gretel’.

Hansel & Gretel is one of the tales from the collection of Grimms’ Fairy Tales, written by the Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, first published in 1812.

Some of the Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap and Acro ‘Dance Foundation’ students have formed a company, collaborating together with choreography by Amanda Abbott and Vanessa Rendell to create not only an exhilarating dance performance to bring to life this well known tale, capturing the dark side but also the fun and vibrant side, promising an afternoon of entertainment with a mixture of emotions.

“Nibble, nibble little mouse, Who is nibbling at my house?”
