From Malawi to Britain via Canada, former refugee Daliso Chaponda has appeared on everything from QI to Britain?s Got Talent, from the Royal Variety Performance to his own, critically acclaimed Radio 4 series. A bold, fearless and energetic performer who very nearly became a vicar, but that?s a different story for another time?

Quite possibly the only half-Turkish, gay Geordie on the circuit, Louise Young has a solid reputation for delivering formidable comedy clout. Her laid back style, warmth and wonderfully crafted, razor sharp jokes have seen her becoming in great demand in the comedy clubs as well as hosting the BBC?s weekly Grin Up North Show. Louise was nominated for ?Best Show? in the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and regularly supports both Jason Manford and Alan Carr on their UK tours.

Your compere for the evening is Gareth Mutch, a Scottish stand up comedian who?s been steadily making a name for himself on the British comedy scene. He performs in clubs and theatres up and down the UK, and is a regular in ?Best of Scottish?, ?Best of the Fest? and ?Pick of the Fringe? showcases at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has performed twice at Scotland?s T in the Park Festival, has supported Iain Stirling on tour and has just supported Tom Stade for the second year running on a mammoth UK tour.

Daliso Chaponda
Daliso is a versatile African comedian equally comfortable talking politics, romance, filth or religion. As such, he has performed in such diverse venues as churches, casinos, strip clubs and sports bars and was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent 2017. He has lived in countries where the press is not allowed to criticize the government, and in others with no libel laws where they can say anything. He has been both a journalist and a jaded newsreader. Daliso has appeared at many festivals that have included Melbourne, Edinburgh, Singapore and Cape Town Festivals. He is also a prolific fiction writer and has had his science fiction, murder mysteries and fantasy fiction published in numerous magazines and anthologies. He also co-wrote a play that aired on BBC Radio 4. 'Full of extravagant gestures and impassioned speeches. He inspires whoops and cheers from his watchers. Louise Young
Hailing from Newcastle, Louise Young has quickly become one of the brightest new names on the comedy circuit. She is a regular at clubs up and down the country including the Glee Clubs, Komedia, and The Stand. Louise has supported the likes of Jason Manford and Alan Carr on their nation wide UK and Ireland tours. In 2020, she was nominated for Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year, and the following year was nominated for Leicester Comedy Festival’s Best Festival Appearance. Louise was also a finalist in the Funny Women Awards in 2018. Louise has presented a weekly comedy radio show on BBC Radio Newcastle, and at the 2020 Gillard Awards won a commendation for Newcomer of the Year on the station. Louise also wrote and acted in Channel 4’s Original Comedy shorts on three sketches, one of which gained over five million views and went on to receive North East RTS award. As heard on BBC Radio 4’s Fred at The Stand, and soon to be seen on Comedy Central Live!

Joe Jacobs
Joe Jacobs is a London based comedian, rapper and writer. Since 2012, he has performed nationally and internationally, sharing bills with acts including Bill Burr, Stewart Lee and Mr. Motivator. His live shows effortlessly flit between hip hop and comedy and he’s been seen/heard on Channel 4, BBC Radio 4, BBC 6 Music, Radio 1XTRA, plus gained millions of viral video views online. In addition to stand up, as solo artist Jester Jacobs, he’s released regular music since his debut Mental Disorder in 2008.

Gareth Mutch
Actor and stand-up comic who has appeared on the Edinburgh comedy circuit and performed at The Stand Comedy Club. gareth was a semi-finalist in the Laughing Horse Competition 2012. ... After scraping through the heats, he came back to deliver a storming quarter-final performance. At this rate, he'll be selling out the O2 by March' (The Skinny).
