Waverley Album Listening Party August 2025

August's fundraising Album Listening Party for Dorothy House at The Waverley in Chippenham will be on Wednesday August 20th from 7.30pm, with the music starting around 8pm.

This month we will have a special live performance by Samuel Fox, a Bristol-based multi-instrumentalist with a wide-ranging repertoire spanning jazz, RnB, hip-hop, indie-folk, and pop, excelling in improvised music. Samuel performed on lap-steel guitar as part of the Tamasene band at The Waverley in May and recently toured Canada playing bass with the band, Supalung.

In addition to his work with other artists, Samuel crafts his own music and he will talk to us about his Mossfellow indie-folk band project EP 'Quotidian' released earlier this year at the end of May.

Samuel suggested we also listen to Nick Drake's debut LP 'Five Leaves Left' as Nick's music is part of the inspiration for the sound of his Mossfellow compositions

As usual the event is open to everyone and is free to attend, but voluntary donations to aid the work of the local Hospice are very welcome
