Christmas in Chatteris is always very special, and we are delighted to welcome Medlock Sinfonia, a renowned local chamber orchestra, and Ely Consort to perform a wonderful Christmas programme of music for our Christmas concert. The concert will be held in aid of the Chatteris Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul.
Music for the festive season will include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Corelli’s Christmas Concerto and part of Holst’s St Paul’s Suite performed by the Medlock Sinfonia. Choruses from Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Wachet Auf and Rutter’s Nativity Carol will be performed by Ely Consort and Medlock Sinfonia together. The concert will conclude with a few seasonal songs and carols in what promises to be a delightful Christmas Concert.
Tickets are £20 with accompanied U16s free and can be purchased from Elizabeth’s Florist in Chatteris, online and on the door.
Ely Consort
Ely Consort is an auditioned Chamber choir of about 40 voices and originally formed in 1988. We perform classical and contemporary choral music concerts in venues surrounding Ely, including Ely Cathedral, with our rehearsals on a Thursday evening.
