The Red Hot Pokers – Live at The Earl Haig Club (Front Bar)
Friday 16th January.
Free entry

Get ready for a proper Friday night as one of the Earl Haig Club’s most loved and respected bands returns to where they belong — The Red Hot Pokers, live in the Front Bar.

Formed back in 1984, The Red Hot Pokers are true masters of their craft. Their sound is a powerful, feel-good blend of blues, country, soul, and reggae, delivered with the confidence and fire that only decades on the road can bring. Expect deep grooves, blistering guitar work, and vocals packed with soul — the kind of performance that grabs you from the first note and doesn’t let go.

Their pedigree speaks for itself. Over the years, the band has backed an incredible roll-call of American blues and rock ’n’ roll legends, including Lowell Fulson, Carey Bell, Lazy Lester, Frankie Ford, Big Al Downing, Nappy Brown, and Big Jay McNeely. They’ve toured extensively across Europe, Canada, and the Far East, earning a reputation as one of the finest live bands around.

In the early 2000s, their journey reached another level when they became Van Morrison’s touring band, also appearing on his acclaimed album You Win Again — a testament to their musicianship and standing in the world of blues and roots music.

This is a rare opportunity to catch a world-class band in an intimate setting, up close and in their element, right here in Whitchurch
