Kilian returns to Canterbury for a third concert with another daring selection of works:
Bach (Partita for Violin No. 3 transcribed by S. Rachmaninoff)
Schubert (Sonata in A major, D 664)
Beethoven (Sonata Nr. 31 in Ab major, op. 110)
Chopin (Polonaise-Fantaisie, op. 61)
The concert will last approximately 120 minutes with an intermission
Munich born Kilian Langrieger received his first piano lessons at the age of six from Barbel Speck-Betz. From age 12 he studied piano under Angelika Lederer at the Domspatzen school, and since 2014 he has been taught at various times by Professor Karl Betz. As a soloist he has participated in master classes of such renowned pianists as Wolfgang Manz, Alexander Kobrin, Andreas Fröhlich, Christian Meinel, Elena Margolina, Alfredo Perl and Olivier Cazal and, for Lied Duo partnering Leon Dreher, those of Benjamin Appl among others.
