About the show

FIONA ALLEN headlines our May night at The Meadows!
Probably best remembered for her time on Smack The Pony, these days Fiona Allen is an established stand up.
Her sassy anecdotal style walks her audience through frustrations with her husband three kids and her need to get out of the house and away from them. A natural comedian, she is warm but fearless.
She's won two Emmys, and has also been seen in 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, Eastenders, Coronation Street etc.
“Fiona Allen has successfully made the jump from Actress to Comedian, at ease and natural.’ CHORTLE.
Plus ... Opening Act - Alex Hylton
Alex Hylton is one of the fastest rising comics in the Midlands and a presenter and writer for BlueMoonRisingTv. A youthful, energetic new act with relatable anecdotes of adolescence, mixing in one-liners and a smudge of surrealism to create a likable and unique style, Alex is tipped by many to go all the way.
Plus ...Middle Act - Sam Coade
Sam Coade (BBC Radio 4) is an award-winning comedian and writer whose natural warmth and offbeat gags have seen him become an audience favourite at clubs across the country.
He regularly performs at top clubs, including The Comedy Store, Komedia, Angel Comedy, and Up The Creek. “Fantastic” – Evening Standard.
