RoomsFest - Save the Rehearsal Rooms

On 3rd June, Yorkshire Gas and Power entered the Rehearsal Rooms illegally and cut off their power. Despite the Energy Ombudsman ruling in the Rehearsal Rooms' favour, and the 'Rooms paying over £5,000 in spurious charges, YGP are refusing to reconnect the power.

As anyone involved in the Bury St Edmunds music scene knows all too well, the Rehearsal Rooms is a vital piece of our tiny but thriving scene, and the only facility of its kind for miles around. Neil has been working tirelessly to resolve these issues amicably - including purchasing a generator to keep the place open - but it's clear that he now faces a legal battle against Yorkshire Gas and Power just to get the basic services he's paying for.

To help safeguard the Rehearsal Rooms' future, we are holding an all-dayer at The Hunter Club on Saturday 2nd August. Tickets for the show are £10 advance, but you're welcome to donate more on the door if you want to help Neil out! Every penny of profit will go towards helping Neil keep our brilliant scene alive and - quite literally - fight the power.
