About the show
Jan Akkerman returns to The Apex in 2027 as part of his 80th birthday celebrations! He will be joined on stage by Coen Molenaar (piano), Marijn van den Berg (drums) and David de Marez Oyens (bass).
Expect to hear music from Jan’s long career including his favourite Focus tunes and more recent compositions.

Jan Akkerman
Jan Akkerman is a Dutch guitarist. He first found international commercial success with the band Focus, whom he co-founded with Thijs van Leer. After leaving Focus, Akkerman continued as a solo artist, adding jazz fusion influences. He has also introduced baroque music into his repertoire.
