Bury Friendly Orchestra is delighted to return to The Apex for an exciting programme celebrating dance music. The concert will feature familiar tunes and rhythms; including an exuberant Mazurka from Delibes’ Ballet Coppélia, and the Farandole from Bizet’s L’Arlésienne Suite no 2; which contrast with the grandeur of Fauré’s Pavane, and the magnificent Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.
Bury St Edmunds Friendly Orchestra
A community orchestra based in the Bury St Edmunds area of Suffolk. The ensemble rehearses during term time on Tuesdays at Hardwick Primary School and has a minimum playing standard of around Grade 4. New players are always welcome, especially violins, violas, Fench horns and trombone. There is a waiting list for all other instruments.
