Project X Presents Agatha Christie's 'Murder in the Studio'

Murder in the Studio is a collection of three murder mysteries by the Queen of Crime, and local celebrity, Agatha Christie. The plays were originally performed on BBC radio from the 1930s to 1950s, so in honour of those days, we invite you to dress up in 30s, 40s or 50s costumes and we will award a prize each evening.

In Personal Call (1954) a newly married man is haunted by strange phone calls from his dead wife, asking him to come and get her from Newton Abbot Railway Station.

Yellow Iris (1937) was Hercule Poirot’s radio debut. The famous detective attends an anniversary dinner for Iris who died four years ago, but all is not as it seems and Poirot will have to act promptly to avert a tragedy.

In Butter in a Lordly Dish (1948) a philandering prosecution barrister meets his match and much more, in a romantic holiday getaway, laden with biblical overtones.

This amateur production of Murder in the Studio from Project X is by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
