About the show

20 years ago in April 2006, a club night in Bristol launched upstairs at the Hatchet which had one simple rule - only female vocalists.

It gained some national exposure, had guest DJs including Manda Rin (Bis), Sarah Blackwood (Dubstar / Client) and Gareth Paisey (Los Campesinos!) plus it even spawned a comic book series and graphic novel!

It returns for a one-off 20th anniversary. There won't be any photos put on MySpace, you can't smoke inside the venue and there won't be a free compilation CD, but we hope it will still have the spirit and soul of those special nights in the mid 00s!
