The Christmas Schooner - a new Musical

Winterbourne Musical Theatre is celebrating its 50th year of bringing high quality drama productions to the local community at an affordable price. Following Shrek back in May, the group now presents a very different show, The Christmas Schooner.

The Christmas Schooner tells the story of the German immigrants to America 120 years ago, who shipped pine trees on the Great Lakes and brought their tradition of Christmas trees and wreaths to the people of Chicago. Based on the experiences of a real family, the show is full of hummable tunes, humour and heartache, spreading the message of peace and love at this special time of year.

The Musical was written by Julie Shannon, based on the book by John Reeger, and this amateur production is presented by arrangement with Musical Theatre International.
