Power Town Festival is the first edition of an annual vibrant, all-day family friendly festival. The focus of the festival is to unite and celebrate community through creativity, collaboration and culture, with a particular emphasis on championing African and Caribbean cuisine and culture.
This festival is near and dear to the heart of CPT, with the founder and CEO being Caribbean and running the company out of one of the most significant buildings to Bristol Black and African Caribbean history and heritage.
The lineup is stacked with grassroots talent from Bristol and artists from CPT’s very own Artist Development Programme, very intentionally scheduled to pay homage to the hub of talent and creativity that Bristol is.
With the day featuring fun activities, talks, amazing food and an exciting music lineup, the festival schedule is packed with an entire day of enjoyment for all members of the family.
Appearing:
Donae'O
Hailing from Northwest London, Ian Greenidge (aka Donae'o) grew up listening to rap, Afrobeat, and Caribbean music, and had a fondness for the likes of 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and D'Angelo instilled a desire to emulate his idols. Donae'o released his first single, Falling, in 2002, a mix of U.K. garage, R&B, and hip-hop; the single was followed by the release My Philosophy (Bounce).
