It’s holiday season and what better way of getting into the mood than joining Michael Mwenso and his outrageously brilliant band, The Shakes, for a celebration of community and love with a soulful twist on Christmas classics.

Led by the wonderfully charismatic Mwenso, and featuring an exceptional line-up of jazz musicians and vocalists from New York and London (including a dancer!), this concert promises to bring to life an Afrofuturistic Winter Wonderland, marking Mwenso’s long-awaited return to Bristol after at least a decade!

Be prepared for some fantastic new arrangements of Christmas classics such as Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer…plus some of the Shakes’ original anthemic music too.
