Known for their innovative fusion of art-rock and immersive soundscapes, Chamfer crafts songs that navigate the realms between clarity and distortion, seamlessly blending performance with introspection.
Supporting Chamfer is homepage, an experimental act celebrated for their dynamic soundscapes and genre-defying performances. Their individual blend of pre-post neo-skeuomorphic synth aeropop core (core) intricately weaves electronic and organic elements, delivering an auditory experience that captivates audiences.
Chamfer
Chamfer is a music project launched in 2022 by former visual artist Matt White, who transitioned into sound to explore the visual possibilities music can create and delve into the emotional textures that soundscapes can offer. With themes like the decline of a high street in 'Easy Street' or the clarity found in 'It Feels Like', Chamfer’s work blends sound and lyrics into sensory storytelling, creating a form of artistic expression that bridges the worlds of audio and visual art. Words are as essential as music, together capturing disillusionment with extravagance, the pull of nostalgia, and the peace found in simplicity. Each track is crafted as an auditory canvas, inviting listeners to wander through sonic landscapes that echo memories, capture fleeting time, and embrace light over fear; an experience as visual as it is auditory. Chamfer is a journey through sound where listeners can explore spaces, moments, and emotions and find their own reflections within.
