8MH - Green Diesel, The Wicthcraft & Vagrancy Act, Bity Booker - Folklore Rooms

Eight Miles High presents a night of live music at the Folklore Rooms, with liquid visuals spinning, a diverse mix of folk acts, plus psychedelic sounds in-between!

Green Diesel

A folk-rock acoustic outfit from Kent. Blending violin, mandolin, dulcimer and accordion with electric guitars and drums, Green Diesel's sound is born from a love of traditional English music and a desire to bring it to a modern audience. The band perform original compositions steeped in folklore alongside inventive reworkings of traditional songs and tunes. They've appeared at the likes of Beverley Folk Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Broadstairs Folk Week and the Kelburn Garden Party, and shared stages with the likes of Gilmore & Roberts, Spiers & Boden and Fotheringay.

The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act

The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act are a folk music collective based in Brighton, England. Combining experimental arrangements with traditional and original songs and tunes, The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act seek to unearth folk music’s sinister side. Wailing fiddles and 3-part harmonies encounter aching drones and electric guitars in an exploration of historical music and the macabre. Expect eerie tales of magic, murder and misery, as T.W.A.V.A. create their uniquely spooky interpretation of the folk canon.
