Headlining this evening is the multi-talented Jo Enright. Described by Peter Kay as “one of the most naturally gifted comic talents I’ve ever seen,” Jo’s incredible range has been showcased on hit shows like After Life, Phoenix Nights, and I’m Alan Partridge.
Joining her is the hilarious Danny McLoughlin, a Comedian’s Comedian Award winner who has appeared on Dave’s One Night Stand and supported comedy giants like Micky Flanagan and Sarah Millican on tour.
We also have rising stars James Carnall and Rachel Page, who will be bringing their unique material to the stage. Keeping the show running smoothly is your compere for the evening, the brilliant and “very funny” Anthony J. Brown.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Jo Enright
Birmingham's most prestigious female comic who is 'fresh, honest and thumpingly funny' (What's On). Her comedy is broad, lively and poignant, centred around autobiographical humour. She may be tiny, but her jokes are huge! Jo hasstarred alongside Steve Coogan in I’m Alan Partridge and with Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights. Other comedy roles include in BBC Two Sitcom Lab Rats playing the part of Cara and on BBC/HBO’s Life’s Too Short as Warwick Davis’ wife Sue. Jo has crafted a completely unique style of stand-up comedy. As well as accepting numerous invitations to perform it both on television and radio, Jo also thrives on live theatre performances, for which she has won several comedy awards including the Chortle Award for The Best Female Circuit Comic and Best Female on the Jongleurs Comedy Circuit award. ‘One of the most naturally gifted comic talents I’ve ever seen. I’d put her in the same league as Julie Walters’ - Peter Kay

Danny McLoughlin
With an amiable, confident stage presence and a well written set, Danny delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further. Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word. A bright future surely awaits. 'McLoughlin's main weapon is his audacity: he's so bold he can recite an advertising jingle and still get plenty of laughs' (Chortle).

Anthony J Brown
Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that's slammed it's claw in a coffin lid. And not the merest hint of profanity. The overall effect is both perversely hypnotic and wholly original, leaving the audience zealously hanging on to every syllable like turncoat lemmings on a rockface. Jongleurs / Metro Stand And Deliver Award winner and former BBC New Comedy Award Runner-up, he is a regular contributor to Radio 2's The Arthur Smith Lectures. As seen on The Stand Up Show and Phoenix Nights. 'Dark quips and relentlessly witty audience-goading ad-libbing from a compelling host' (City Life) 'Hilarious ad-libs and wicked one-liners from an infectiously funny performer (The List).
