About the show

Roger Davies has established himself as an engaging songwriter through five solo albums and concert performances around the country. After accompanying Fairport Convention as their special guest on a thirty date UK tour in 2016, Roger formed his own five-piece band and has enjoyed a succession of sold-out shows including an outstanding performance at the Great British Folk Festival.

The Topic Folk Club presents a three-piece acoustic version of Roger’s band featuring vocals, guitar, mandolin and percussion on 30th April 2026. This line up gives the music a more rustic, bluegrass tone but loses none of its driving rhythm and dynamic presentation.

Expect a selection of songs from the best of Roger’s back catalogue along with lots of brand-new material, all of which will be played in a way you’ve never heard it performed before.
