This punk band from Belfast featuring Martin Cowan and Colin Getgood (better known as Getty) on guitar, Colin Cowan on drums and Greg Cowan on bass and vocals formed in Belfast in January of 1977.

The Swindells
The Swindells have been around since 2008 and have released three self-financed albums of pure punk rock energy. Influences are wide and varied but fans of UK82-era punk rock won't be disappointed! Quote from RateYourMusic.com: 'Oi-tinged punk rock from a bunch of Leeds louts who have been doing the rounds for a while. Shouty, sing-along anthems abound and, while it's neither big nor clever, there is an infectiousness about this lot that is very hard to resist... there's plenty here to suggest that The Swindells are towards the higher end of the scale when it comes to the myriad of punk bands doing the rounds in the UK.'
