Join us for our fortnightly Acoustic Café showcase at The Newtown Pippin, Bracknell on Wednesday 15th October featuring live music from NUNK, Jim Cozens, Tim Shez Band, Wichita Grand and Michael Tuffery. Starts 7.30pm, delicious food and a wide selection of drink available. To book a table email grahamsteelevents@gmail.com
Taking influences from singer songwriters, anthemic stadium bands and cinematic soundscapes, Tim Shez delivers delicate and intimate songs which draw you in and take you along with him. His disarmingly honest lyrics and melodies over acoustic guitars, strings and atmospheric vocal layers create a unique and often emotional sound, lingering with the listener long after the songs have ended.

A classic singer songwriter and storyteller, his songs are personal, universal, joyful and moving. In a long, glorious, off-grid career he's played his songs to audiences all around the world, written for other artists, music for radio, television and movie productions and had a bloody good time in the process. Inspired by the Beatles, taught by Bert Weedon, he took his direction from classic singer songwriters like Paul Simon, James Taylor and Cat Stevens. He signed to an indie label and released an album in 1978 but by then singer songwriters were tragically out of fashion so the album sank without trace. There followed a litany of fabulous but ultimately doomed projects including a rock band, a novel and run at Eurovision in 1988. Then silence, punctuated by the occasional charity gig. While working in the USA, a chance encounter with American artist Mary Ann Redmond inspired him to go back to his roots. He returned to England a year later, quit his day job and got on the road. For the last 10 years he’s been constantly writing, recording and performing. Clubs, pubs, art centres, and festivals. Anywhere to find an audience for his songs. His touring circle continues to expand with dates planned across the UK, Europe and the USA in 2024. His 2024 album 'Life So far' is acclaimed as his best yet, featuring current singles 'Soul Mate' and 'Tranquilliser'.

NUNK is a gritty Blues-Punk-Rock duo from Southern England playing their own brand of dark Blues and Rock. Formed in 2022, NUNK is Paul David Stone (percussionist) and Mark Nelson (vocals & guitars). The duo perform mostly original material, which is heavily influenced by The Black Keys, Seasick Steve and Graham Coxon and, whilst often blues-based, is much darker and grittier than simply blues. Often taking a stab at the current world and the darker things in life, NUNK is sure to create a storm as they hit the South-East like a hurricane.
