We have a fantastic line up for the Acoustic Café at The Newtown Pippin, Bracknell on Wednesday 6th August with live music from the Yoko Mainwaring Experience, George Wilding, Foxpalmer, NUNK and He Fired First. Starts 7.30pm, delicious food and a wide selection of drink available. To book a table email info@thenewtownpippin.com
George Wilding is an English singer songwriter from Avebury, Wiltshire. He taught himself to play the guitar after his younger brother started having lessons, and was writing his own songs by the age of twelve. He had shown no particular interest in music in his formative years other than a tendency to hum words rather than speak them. Shying away from talent shows, he preferred instead to gain experience performing at local open mic slots where he has developed a loyal following. He describes his songs as abstract stories.

NUNK is a gritty Blues-Punk-Rock duo from Southern England playing their own brand of dark Blues and Rock. Formed in 2022, NUNK is Paul David Stone (percussionist) and Mark Nelson (vocals & guitars). The duo perform mostly original material, which is heavily influenced by The Black Keys, Seasick Steve and Graham Coxon and, whilst often blues-based, is much darker and grittier than simply blues. Often taking a stab at the current world and the darker things in life, NUNK is sure to create a storm as they hit the South-East like a hurricane.
