Mik n Simon

Mik ’n Simon are an acoustic duo who play mostly songs from the Sixties and Seventies. They especially enjoy songs with strong harmonies, Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, Everly Brothers, CSNY, and many others, and have gathered a strong following in Bournemouth and on Facebook. They have an extensive repertoire and as well as being very experienced street performers, they have been playing in pubs, care homes and private events together for the past five years.

Mik, a retired university lecturer, has played in various musical settings over the years, from Folk though Jazz, to Blues and Pop. As well as singing tenor in the Cantabile Choir, you can also find him playing classical flute on Wednesday afternoons in the Russell Cotes Gallery.

Simon still works as a taxi driver, but has always found time to explore his passion in music and performance. As well as acoustic guitar and harmonica, he also has formal training as a violinist and plays in a string quartet and The Westbourne Strings Orchestra.
