About the show

The Hertfordshire Big Band, formed in 2003, is an award-winning jazz orchestra performing across the South East and on European tours. Known for its wide-ranging repertoire, the band moves from classic swing to contemporary jazz, combining technical excellence with a spirit of musical exploration. Highlights include major regional venues and multiple Gold and Platinum awards at the National Concert Band Festival.
Directed by Matt Ward, the band is joined by acclaimed vocalist Lauren Bush. The programme features music inspired by Count Basie, Buddy Rich and Miles Davis, alongside vocal classics associated with Ella Fitzgerald and Diana Krall.
