Soprano Maria Danishvar and lutenist Din Ghani explore some of their favourite songs (both secular and sacred) in a musical journey from England through Fance and Spain towards Italy, the birthplace of the Baroque. Including songs by Dowland, Lambert, Hidalgo, Marin, Monteverdi, Strozzi, Frescobaldi and more.
Refreshments available before and after the performance.
Tickets £12 at the door, £10 online in advance.
Musicke in the Ayre
Musicke in the Ayre was formed by lutenist/luthier Din Ghani with a group of friends to explore and perform the lute song repertoire and other 16th/17th century music with a flexible line-up of voices, lutes and allied instruments.
