Andy Sheppard has established himself as one of Britain’s foremost tenor and soprano saxophonists.
Andy Sheppard Quartets serves as a vehicle for Sheppard to reflect on past, present, and future compositional endeavours.
It is a homage to one's own identity through time, embracing a block universe philosophy, in which all musical works from different eras coexist at once on the stage at a given time.
Few artists enjoy such a vast musical output as Andy. A musician with an unceasingly evolving nature, writing for diverse settings from solo to Big Band and chamber music, this extraordinary versatility is reflected in his vast discography.

Andy Sheppard
Andy Sheppard bought his first Saxophone at the age of nineteen after being introduced to the jazz music of John Coltrane. He has since established himself as one of Britain’s foremost tenor and soprano saxophonists. During the late eighties, the British Jazz Awards awarded him not only best newcomer but best instrumentalist, best album and best big band. Known as a serial collaborator, Andy Sheppard has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz and is in huge demand for both his composing and arranging skills and for his legendary live performances.
