Andrew Bird
Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realised then that he wanted to be funny in some way. Relaxed and improvisatory, Andrew Bird is one of those rare comedians who makes friends with his audiences in an instant with his engaging mix of childhood stories and more recent anecdotes. He has supported Rhod Gilbert, Lee Hurst and Michael McIntyre as well as performing internationally. Christian Reilly
Now a solo headline act all over the globe, Christian uses his improvisations, sharp wit, youthful energy, guitar skills and vocal mimicry to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians with his charming onstage confidence machine-gunning impossibly catchy tunes with hysterical lyrical content. His solo Edinburgh Festival Show, ‘Lost In Music’ was sold out, critically acclaimed and was the winner of the 'Spirit Of The Fringe' Award. In 1999 Christian started playing guitar and singing for the American comic polymath Rich Hall. High points included winning the Perrier Award in 2001 for "Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw", being on subsequent CD and DVD releases, seeing the world, appearing on stage with Seinfeld star Michael Richards and getting on Late Night with Conan O' Brien. He was a regular on a BBC radio show with the Richard Herring, called That Was Then, This Is Now that was critically acclaimed and lasted for 3 series. This led to a key role in Herring’s groundbreaking podcast, As It Occurs To Me which ran for three years and won a Chortle award for best internet comedy and appearances on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’. Howard Read
Explosive comedian from London who is very tall and very silly, with his homages to lesser known fruit and vegetables and snippets of subverted classic hits. He is also an award-winning animator and often uses his talents to great effect in his comedy performances, performing as the Big Howard Little Howard Show for kids.
