Following on from last year’s inaugural comedy festival, The Lights is excited to bring some of the best and brightest comedians to the venue for the second ever Andover Comedy Festival. With many of the acts bringing their Edinburgh Fringe WIP shows to the stage.

With food trucks and the bar opening early, don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of something special in Andover this July.

Sophie Duker

Sophie Duker is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting acts on the circuit. Her favourite things include breaking hearts, taking names and telling jokes with the confidence of a cis straight middle-class white man. As seen on Frankie Boyle's New World Order (BBC2), Riot Girls (Channel 4), and 8 Out of 10 Cats (E4). Cohost of BBC Radio 4's GrownUpLand. Creator of the Evening Standard-recommended comedy night Wacky Racists.

Tom Rosenthal (Comedy)

Award-winning comedian and star of Channel 4's Friday Night Dinner, he has also appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Dave's One Night Stand. 'A clever comic who's never afraid to look cocksure in the name of humour' (The Guardian) '... talented upcoming star' (Time Out).

Rob Auton

Rob is a London-based performer, artist, writer, poet and comedian. He is a Dave’s Funniest Joke Of The Fringe award-winner and Glastonbury’s Poet In Residence. Every year he picks a subject that is important to him and writes an hour long show about it. So far he has done The Yellow Show, The Sky Show, The Face Show, The Water Show, The Sleep Show and the Hair Show. His work has been played on the radio by Jarvis Cocker, Cerys Matthews and Scroobius Pip and shown on the television by BBC1, BBC 2 and Channel 4. 'A genuine original' (The Guardian) 'A talent to watch' (The Independent).

Pierre Novellie

One of Mother Comedy's most exciting recent births, Pierre was born in Johannesburg in South Africa but moved to the Isle of Man when he was a boy. He studied Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge where he was Vice President of the Cambridge Footlights, touring the United States with their 2012 show 'Perfect Strangers' after a sell-out month at the Edinburgh Fringe. Amused Moose Laugh Off winner.

Chloe Petts

Chloe Petts’ is “one of the most compelling young comics” (Brian Logan, The Guardian) and “clearly a rising star whose name will soon be in lights” (Bruce Dessau, The Evening Standard). This has established her as one of the most exciting up & coming acts on the circuit.

Bella Hull

Bella Hull is a London-based stand-up comedian and writer and one of the UK’s most exciting young comedians. Bella regularly plays to sell-out crowds across the UK and recently made her television debut on the BBC’s Stand Up for Live Comedy. She recently performed at the Utrecht International Comedy Festival and her writing has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack, Flux Magazine and she is the advice columnist for Quadra magazine. A former member of the Cambridge Footlights, Bella begun finding success on the competition circuit, winning the Yellow Comedy Young Comedian of the Year 2019 and placing in the 2NorthDown New Act Competition 2020.

Jonny Pelham
