Andrew Bird

Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realised then that he wanted to be funny in some way. Relaxed and improvisatory, Andrew Bird is one of those rare comedians who makes friends with his audiences in an instant with his engaging mix of childhood stories and more recent anecdotes. He has supported Rhod Gilbert, Lee Hurst and Michael McIntyre as well as performing internationally. Since starting in stand-up in October 2011, Patrick has successfully driven to over 200 stand-up gigs and delivered a selection of deadpan jokes and stories to a range of different audiences: big, small, enthusiastic, indifferent, confused. Carl Jones

After winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival ‘Newcomer to Comedy’ competition after just a handful of gigs, Carl has gone on to reach the semi finals of Amused Moose Laugh Off 2011, win both Manchester and Preston ‘Beat the Frog’ competitions at the first attempt and survived the dreaded gong at the Manchester Comedy Store. As a regular member of Nottingham’s top improvised comedy group ‘MissImp’, Carl can also be seen at their monthly residence at Nottingham’s ‘Glee Club’, bringing a unique brand of quick wit and occasionally rude, laddish humour to an otherwise enlightening and informative evening.
