About the show
In celebration of their joint 70th birthdays, Chris and Robin Burton are hosting a free showcase of local bands and musicians open to all. For decades, Chris and Robin have been stalwarts of the Gloucestershire folk scene, organising and performing in countless events and attending even more. This day-long festival will feature some of their favourite bands and performers, ranging from folk and rock to choral, classical and comedy... including some really big names!
If you know Chris and Robin, come and wish them happy birthday! If you don't know them, just come along and enjoy the music.

Anthony John Clarke
Anthony John Clarke has been working as a professional musician since 1991. He has since given up a full time teaching career to focus on writing and performing his own brand of songs. His material is played on radio throughout Great Britain, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Europe and North America. His best known songs have received airplay as faraway as Australia, Chile, Canada and China.

Tom Lewis
Tom's repertoire - from traditional shanties to songs fashioned out of his own seafaring background - recruits his audience for a voyage by turns reflective, dramatic and humorous. Now resident in Canada's Rocky Mountains, Tom was born in Northern Ireland and that Celtic heritage is obvious in his clear, strong voice, evoking quiet sorrow for a fisherman lost to the sea just as honestly as it powers out a shanty "to be heard above the gales."
