Come along for a bowl of soup and a show at lunchtime!
This month, Soup Theatre presents “A Near Run Thing”: a special performance for Waterloo Day.
The battle of Waterloo began at about eleven-thirty on a Sunday morning in June 1815. By nine o’clock that night, forty thousand men lay dead or wounded among the Belgian cornfields, and Napoleon had abandoned his army and all hope of recovering his empire. This is the story of the battle told by the men who were there. This two-person performance looks at the battle, the carnage and the aftermath of Waterloo.
Performances are suitable for ages 11 and over. Each £10 includes a bowl of soup or equivalent light lunch, and the event is designed to fit into an hour-long lunch break. Doors open at 12:45 with soup served at 1pm.
